Apex Vets Expansion Programme

Scotwood Interiors assisted new client, Apex Vets in a programme of work which included expansion into the building next door to their existing practice in Denny and upgrading and reconfiguring their existing space.

The project started out with the full strip out of the new premises, and creation of new open plan workspaces, four consulting rooms, a meeting room, offices, a dispensing laboratory and a waiting room.

The next challenge was to carry out a phased refurbishment of the original practice with minimum disruption to vets, staff and patients. This required the Scotwood team to complete most of the work out of practice hours.

The end result provides Apex Vets and their customers and staff with bespoke facilities including state of the art operating theatres, a new xray room and dedicated cat, dog and exotic pet wards and a special quiet waiting room for cats.

Scotwood managed the build programme including all of the trades work and liaison with specialist sub-contractors, allowing the practice to continue in its vital role throughout lockdown and other periods of restrictions during the project.

Scotwood worked to time and to budget, making it clear to us where all costs were coming from. There were daily to weekly site meetings with the project manager and regular visits with the company director so that we could plan the various stages in detail. Scotwood were more than accommodating with the obvious difficulties of working around a busy veterinary clinic. Since the build has been completed, we have had the continued backup and support of Scotwood. We don't hesitate to recommend Scotwood, and will use them again for any building requirements that we have in the future.
