This office expansion in Edinburgh for leading legal firm, Burges Salmon, involved a Cat B fit-out in Atria One at 144 Morrison Street, Edinburgh.
Working with Gardiner and Theobold Surveyors and Cruder Interiors, the design incorporates open working areas, variously sized meeting rooms, individual pods and a kitchen and breakout area.
Ecophon acoustic rafts and a wall feature in baux acoustic wall tiles aid noise absorption in the open area, while also providing visual interest. Large round LED lighting fixtures are also a striking feature of the design, along with extensive use of planting throughout. Scotwood was responsible for all bespoke joinery including timber screens in the breakout area and a mesh ceiling raft which is overclad in dried plants.
Komfort glazed partitions and doors were used throughout, as were acoustic lighting and wall panels in meeting rooms.
